We are very pleased to announce the launch of our exciting new project: the opening of our community woodland at Blaen y Wern.

Over the last three years we have been preparing the woodland and surroundings with funding from Cydcoed, to make it available to groups from the local community and beyond who would like access to beautiful woodland for outdoor learning.

You are cordially invited to come and enjoy the woods and entertainments, talk to team members and sample the craft workshops we will be making available, which will include greenwood turning (pole lathing) and making willow hurdles. There will be live music provided by local band Rattlin’ Bog, singing, poetry, face painting and free light refreshments.

We are an experienced team of teachers and volunteers in woodland crafts and have been operating in the area since 1998 at other venues including local schools, Parc Coetir Mynydd Mawr and many public events. We’re very pleased to be based at our own beautiful venue now where we will offer a variety of workshops over the year.
