Aims & background

Gwendraeth Environmental Education is a community co-operative whose aims are

To provide hands on environmental education
To foster community links
To provide jobs for local crafts people

We are an experienced team of teachers and volunteers in woodland crafts

and have been operating in the area since 1998 at other venues including local schools, Parc Coetir Mynydd Mawr and many public events.

Over the last three years we have been preparing the woodland and surroundings with funding from Cydcoed, to make it available to groups from the local community and beyond who would like access to beautiful woodland for outdoor learning.
